Bob's Dodge Ram 2500
Wanting a free-flowing exhaust without a loud sound, Bob brought his 2500 to us for a consultation. We recommended a dual cat-back exhaust with a large-case Magnaflow, to allow the exhaust to have a straight path through the muffler with the additional sound absorption material provided by the 22" long case. Because the fuel tank is located on the driver-side, both pipes need to route on the passenger-side of the truck. Therefore, dual side-by-side rectangular mufflers will not fit in this truck application. We do not recommend fitting two mufflers vertically, because this can trap water (condensation) inside. Therefore, we recommended the single large-case dual-in/dual-out Magnaflow for good flow without too much noise. We finished this exhaust by routing the dual tailpipes around the spare tire and exiting out the passenger-side behind the rear wheel. This provides a customized but clean appearance.
