Custom cages are our specialty, so please don't hesitate to inquire if you are interested in optional bars that are not listed here: Description Racer Price Extended-Style Door Bars. Often referred to as "Nascar-style", our Extended-Style door bars extend fully into the door, fitting close to or touching the inner door skin. This design gives the driver maximum elbow room, eases ingress and egress, and helps to provide more space for the driver. Extended-Style door bars are typically used only on the driver-side, but are also offered for the passenger-side if desired. See below for pictures of Chuck Taylor's car, equipped with Hanksville Extended-Style door bars, after his door was hit head-on by another car at Pueblo Motorsports Park. Without our Extended-Style door bars, the other car's bumper would literally have landed in Chuck's lap. The force of the hit caused the door sheetmetal to actually wrap around our door bars, and the bars maintained their integrity. Right-click to see larger versions of the pictures. Add $75 per side Dash Bar. This optional bar features two bends and connects the forward hoops and fits behind the dash, close to the firewall below the windshield. It strengthens the cage by supporting and transferring stress between the forward hoops. Add $54 Roof Bar. This optional bar features one bend and connects the main hoop to the windshield bar, running along the centerline of the car. It provides support to the windshield bar and strengthens the upper portion of the cage. Customers prefer the roof bar to a roof diagonal, since the roof bar does not cross in front of the driver's head. Add $35 Rear Brace Diagonal. This bar connects the driver-side rear brace, where it joins the main hoop, with the bottom of the passenger-side rear brace near its mounting plate. It helps to triangulate the main hoop and the rear section of the cage. Add $35 Rear Brace X-Bars. These bars include a rear brace diagonal, described above, plus two bars that intersect and are bifurcated by the diagonal bar, to form an "X" in the rear brace area. This further triangulates and strengthens the rear of the cage. Add $109 Footwell Connectors. These optional bars are allowed by NASA, SCCA and PCA, and connect the forward hoops to mounting plates located on the firewall. Most commonly used on the driver-side, but many racers also choose to add a connector to the passenger-side. Includes a pre-notched tube and mounting plate. Add $35 per side Tube Gussets. These optional bars are pre-notched, custom-fitted and can be installed at various locations throughout the cage, to triangulate and strengthen the tube joints. Custom tube gussets are available to your specs at only slightly higher prices. Add $15 per tube gusset 6-Point Cage Mounting Plates. We now offer our mounting plates for those customers who are building their own cages. Our plates mount to the rockers and subframes of the car, providing a much stronger foundation for the cage than the floor plates that other cage builders use. Our plates are formed to fit the contours of the 944/924 rockers and subframes. Designed to be welded in place, they are made from 1/8" mild steel. The price includes a full set of 6 mounting plates: 2 for the forward hoops, 2 for the main hoop, and 2 for the rear braces. $144 per set
